HOW IT WORKS:
ADDRESS POSITION
Golf Pro, Rob Cheney, demonstrates the address position of every tour player. Without starting here, you’re already compromising your chances of good swing.
While wearing In-The-Slot, at address, your upper bicep will be tucked into the green cradle, providing instant feel feedback – the front of your elbow facing outward – and your right arm at an angle of about 25-30 degrees relative to your torso.
The textbook Tour Pro position to begin your swing.
ONE PIECE TAKEAWAY - ARM AND CHEST CONNECTION
As you begin your backswing and the shoulders move the club back away from the ball, you need to feel the arms staying connected to the body – ensuring a ‘One Piece Takeaway’ - as demonstrated by Coach Harry Shaw.
Feeling connected with In-The-Slot is crucial to your swing form success! If you are not connected, you will feel the arms swing first, moving the bicep away from the green cradle as your weight transfers to the back. These movements signal poor swing form.
PRO TIP: Be aware that your body is not swaying or rocking back from your address position while keeping contact with In-The-Slot.
CREATE SEPARATION (FOR FULL SWINGS)
At the top of your backswing you should feel the arm coming away from the product.
In-The-Slot will not restrict this movement, as it is a natural and necessary part of your full swing to create separation at the top.
PRO TIP: Don’t let your arm get too far away from your body - known in golf as letting your trail arm fly.
PRE-IMPACT, IMPACT, AND FOLLOW THROUGH
To begin your transition, your weight will shift to the front foot and your hips begin to clear. Then you allow the trail arm bicep to fall firmly, but not forcibly, back to the green cradle of In-The-Slot. This motion guides your hands straight down in front of your hips as your upper body rotates - Ensuring you DO NOT come over the top.
Be sure to keep your hands quiet, no flipping, and continue to rotate to a high, balanced finish.

"In-The-Slot is the perfect tool because it gives you this cradle to feel when you're connected at address, and more importantly, where it belongs in the downswing."
Harry Shaw
PGA Professional
"In-The-Slot instantly gives you the feel golfers chase for years: that natural, effortless drop of the club into the slot. It takes the guesswork out of shallowing the club and stops that over the top move in its tracks - you don't have to force anything."
Rob Cheney

"In-The-Slot will allow you to address the ball correctly, giving an absolute feeling of arm/body connection. You will feel a textbook one-peice takeaway to set the club at the top, and best of all, learn to eliminate over-the-top swings and get the club to the ideal pre-impact position - known as 'In-The-Slot'"
